Church Cross

ABOUT US

First Baptist Church of Tinley Park was started in 1954 when a few women believed that a Baptist church was needed in the community.  Through their efforts and the willingness of the Harvey Missionary Baptist Church (now Central Baptist, Olympia Fields) to send a preacher, our church was born.

For the last 6 decades FBCTP has stood the test of time and transitions of a changing community.  It is our hope that we can be your bridge to a stable, caring community based on an enduring faith in Christ.

OUR VISION

Our mission is to help you discover the love of Christ, provide for you what you need to live for Him, and encourage you to minister to others in Christ as part of His community.

WHAT WE DO

We hope you will feel right at home as we worship together.  If you are searching for a church home, we'd like you to know that there's a special place here just for you.  We provide:

  • A Place for worship

  • A Place for Learning

  • A Place for Enrichment

  • A Place for Friendship

  • A Place for Service

OUR COMMUNITY

It is our desire at FBCTP to help you meet the need to be connected.  In every one of us there is a spiritual  part that needs nurture, feeding, and a sense of community.  At FBCTP, we are large enough to provide many avenues of growth and challenge, but we are small enough to know you by name.

FIND YOUR FAITH

A Message from Pastor Harold Parsley

We believe that when we are saved by Christ we receive the Gift of the Holy Spirit who equips us to live a life that is both abundant and obedient.  The church is the place where these "forgiven sinners" support, teach, encourage, and worship with each other so that others might come to know the grace they have known through ministries God directs them to accomplish in His name.
